Amazon Fire OS

Amazon Fire OS is a variant of Android. The most important difference from a Online MonitorsAnyWhere perspective is that it does not come with the Google Play Store from which you can install the Online MonitorsAnyWhere app. Therefore you have to take a little detour to get your Fire TV setup to automatically play your Online MonitorsAnyWhere channel. To do so, you need a separate Android device (like a phone or tablet) to transfer the Online MonitorsAnyWhere app to the Fire TV once.

Setup The Fire TV

  1. Complete the Fire TV setup procedure.
  2. Go to Settings > System > Developer Options.
  3. Turn on ADB Debugging.
  4. Turn on Apps from Unknown sources.
  5. Go back to Settings > Display & Sounds > Screen Saver.
  6. Set Start Time to Never to prevent the Fire TV from entering screen saver mode.

Install The App Via The Other Android Device

On the other Android device:

  1. Make sure you are connected to the same WiFi network as the Fire TV.
  2. Install the Online MonitorsAnyWhere Android app as described on the Android help page.
  3. Open the Google Play Store.
  4. Search for the app Apps2Fire.
  5. Install the app and open it.
  6. In the Apps2Fire app:
    1. Go to the Setup tab.
    2. Select Search Fire TVs.
    3. Wait for the app to find your Fire TV; select the found Fire TV and then Save it.
    4. On the Local Apps tab, find and select the Online MonitorsAnyWhere app and press Install.

The app should now be transferred to the Fire TV, where you can find it in your apps section and start it. Now you can register the player to have it start playing your Online MonitorsAnyWhere channel. After this, every time the Fire TV is started, it will automatically start the Online MonitorsAnyWhere app with the configured channel.

After the installation, you don't need the Online MonitorsAnyWhere app anymore on your other Android device and we recommend you uninstall it right away to prevent it from automatically starting all the time.
